The campus of The Francis Parker School in San Diego is a visually striking and inspiring environment for its students. West Coast initially began work at the Francis Parker Lower School campus and was shortly thereafter awarded a contract for the extensive remodeling of the Upper School Performing Arts Center buildings.

The exteriors of the buildings were stripped and heavily reworked to make them architecturally consistent. Comprehensive structural improvements involved significant waterproofing and recladding, custom awnings, stuccowork, and a beautiful Massaranduba wood siding finish on the exterior of the buildings which created a refined modern visual aesthetic.

To address the problem of there being no practical ticketing or social areas in the Performing Arts Center, West Coast reimagined the interior entrance by integrating a new vestibule and waiting area in the front of the building without requiring an additional exterior expansion of the structure.

“Working with West Coast was a different experience from every other contractor. There was a consistent level of meticulous attention to detail, regardless of scope, size, or budget. They do the hard work perfectly.”
