Renovating the Performing Arts Center at The Francis Parker School, San Diego

Over the past 20 years, the scale and scope of the projects that West Coast GBC has been commissioned to take on have steadily and significantly increased. From building coastal estates to renovating private schools, we have come a long way since Parkers younger years building farm sheds!

With this kind of progression, we quickly came to understand the critical need to comprehensively protect against risk and simplify the process of how we organize and mitigate problems for our business, clients, and our subcontractors.

Insurance may not be an interesting or exciting part of your future project, but it is an essential component for providing peace of mind and protection. As a general contractor that places an emphasis on providing a boutique experience for our clients, an integral part of our approach is identifying and alleviating the perceived stressful aspects of the construction process.

We came to partner with TSIB, a full-service brokerage that specializes in insurance programs for the construction industry for two primary reasons.

  • We are selective about who we partner with and look for other businesses that share similar values and a sincere commitment to establishing strong and trusted client relationships. TSIB is a client-focused company that provides an exceptional level of service and advocacy, making their approach relatable to our team and our clients.

  • TSIB works as your insurance advocate. We have found their knowledge and professionalism to be of the same exemplary quality that we provide and expect from all of our partners. Their ability to simplify the complexities of insurance and discuss them in an easily understood and navigable way is appreciated by clients. And their comprehensive understanding of the intricate details of construction, insurance risks, and contracts and ability to advise on construction risk assessment provides another layer of comfort and confidence for our clients in their projects.

We introduce our clients to TSIB during our preplanning phase however we are always happy to discuss any questions regarding insurance and our process and invite you to contact Beth Piner directly at beth@westcoastgbc.com or
