The private residences of architects are some of the most unique and exciting projects that we get to work on. This beautiful home in Mission Hills belongs to a prominent local architect that worked with our team to extensively remodel and build an additional 1000 sqft art studio and master suite addition.
The doors and windows alone are a notable feature of the property. Each door is artisanally hand-crafted from Douglas Fir perfectly complementing the striking exposed framing and metalwork. Hardware and joinery components were all carefully concealed allowing for a highly refined organic aesthetic.
The kitchen was completely reimagined creating a modern open space accented with custom hardware that visually complements the clean horizontal and vertical lines of the exterior framework.
The thoughtfully designed master bathroom features a full roman tub, custom-built out of concrete and finished with hand-made mosaic tile, creating a truly unique and personalized space.
Parker Piner personally built the custom exterior fireplace from a drawing created by the architect owner.
